What is Client-Side Attacks?

Especially known as Magecart, formjacking, XSS and credit card skimming, client-side attacks mainly focus on data theft. These attacks target vulnerable JavaScript that powers much of today’s web.

These attacks target the user’s browser, exploiting widespread JavaScript vulnerabilities to inject ads and redirect sessions to divert website traffic and damage revenues, KPIs and brand reputation. This type of attacks is successful because today, only 1% of website owners implement client-side security policies.

Magecart is a style of digital skimming attack on web and mobile applications and a major cybersecurity threat to e-commerce sites, online banking, travel and hospitality, healthcare websites and web applications etc. For instance, Magecart attacks target websites and e-commerce platforms such as Magento to steal personal data, usually credit card payment data.
